Sabra's Summer Reading List
I just ordered these books online and am looking forward to reading them this summer! I am hopeful that they can give me even more insight into the mind of an individual on the autism spectrum and the way they see the world with all it's challenges as well as more resources to share with my students, clients, and their families during my daily interactions with them. I'll keep you updated on what I think of the books! If you have read any of them and want to give your feedback I'd love it!
I am currently reading this book to my High School Social Skills Class. It is a quick and easy read that has brought about some fantastic discussion from my students with High Functioning Autism (HFA). I encourage you to read this book if you are just wanting to learn more about autism or if you are a person on the spectrum and want to gain a different and positive perspective of what life is like living with autism.

This is a great video to use to help explain autism to typical, teens in middle school and high school. I use this with all of my peer mentors during their training sessions. I have received all positive feedback from them on how this video wrapped up all my information that I gave them and helped them "get it". Check it out and share with others who can benefit!
