Social Thinking Groups 
5th grade-Adulthood (separated by age)

Totally Social ASD offers social skills groups for tweens, teens, and adults with autism (Level 1) i.e.average to above average IQ, high verbal skills, systematic thinker/highly routine based, below grade level social communication skills and overall functional independence. Our coaches are certified, trained and ready to guide and assist them in enhancing skills in social cognition/communication. Groups will be created based on number of clients, by age, and by location. Location TBD with social coach.

Small Groups of 4-5 Clients
The groups meet once a week or bi-weekly for a 1 hour session. We will learn about specific social thinking skills and participate in games, role play activities, and direct teaching activities. The group will plan a session together within the community to practice the skills that we are learning in a more natural environment. Examples of outings we have taken previous years are: going out to dinner, zap zone, bowling, movies, putt-putt, college tours, etc. This allows our clients practice generalizing the skills they are learning and it is also a way to make the group engaging and fun for the members.   
PRICING INFORMATION: 60.00 each session
(Monthly payment is preferred)
You will receive an intake phone call or email from a social coach within 48 hours of registering asking specific information about your child's strengths and challenges.  We will then schedule an individual meeting to create a plan of action for your teen and family and make sure that your child is a good fit for the current running groups.  Some times a tween/teen needs 1 or 2 individual sessions before joining a Social Group to learn needed vocabulary and/or get a better grasp of how their autism affects them.
Social Group Session Feedback and Parent Participation
 If there are ever individual concerns or thoughts that need to be shared after a session the coach will share out to the parent through text, phone call or email to communicate with them about what happened during the group session.
 If you have more specific questions and/or concerns you are encouraged to schedule an individual consultation session with the social coach (additional fees will be charged).  

1:1 Social Coaching 

If the individual is looking for a more quiet setting to gain some of the basic social communication rules, they can meet with a coach for 1:1 social coaching sessions.  The sessions will be individualized and driven by the client's current challenges.  The sessions can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc.  The coach will meet with the client individually but will keep in close contact with the parents through email, phone and/or a family session that can be scheduled (additional fees). 

Individualized Topics often discussed: reading/interpreting social cues, executive function, keeping a routine to stay busy, pre-dating/dating rules/norms, levels and rules of friendship, levels of trust, family dynamics, recognizing the size of problem and what the reaction to a problem should be, self-awareness, conflict resolution, social norms, hidden curriculum, job awareness, etc.
