
As parents, you don't get any "time off". In fact, you have to do all of the above with your kids in the mix! Here is a great list of tips from Autism Speaks that may help to reduce some of the hiccups that come about from all this hustle and bustle. Some of the ideas of things to practice ahead of time are really smart and feasible to do at home. Taking the time now may ease the anxiety your child may or may not be able to communicate. If you have little ones the practice and repetition will be great. For older students the reminders to give them schedule updates and social reminders will help as well.
